Our Story

From a Spark to a Movement

Learning Disability Pride began in 2017 with a simple idea: to create a joyful space where people with learning disabilities could be seen, heard, and celebrated. What started as a local parade quickly grew into a powerful movement bringing thousands together across Northern Ireland.

Through music, colour, and community, we’ve turned streets into spaces of pride and inclusion. Today, Learning Disability Pride stands as a symbol of visibility, empowerment, and the belief that everyone deserves to be celebrated exactly as they are.

Our Mission

Inclusion, Celebration, Empowerment

Learning Disability Pride is a platform for people with a learning disability to stand proud, be heard and show the world what they can achieve. Our mission is to inspire confidence, break down barriers, and celebrate every step forward because believing is achieving.
